Peter Devenport was a composer who for over ten years was also director of musicworks - a community based music educational centre in Brixton, London.
At the time of his death he had become most involved in the study of Arabic music.

Biographical Notes

Peter studied at the Royal College of Music and subsequently had a close working relationship with Cornelius Cardew. Recent works include sets of pieces for bass clarinet and for harp.
