Biographical Notes

Paul Cheneour trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under Professor Rainer Schuelein, then played in orchestras, theatres and chamber music and jazz ensembles. In 1983 he formed the Jazz Fusion Quartet CHENEOUR which has gained great critical acclaim. A live album was released in 1987. In 1991 he formed the AEONA FLUTE QUARTET (four classical Flutes); also in 1991 the first part of the THE SAND PAPER TRILOGY was performed at the Edinburgh Festival and Purcell Room.

 

Since 1993 Paul has continued his musical explorations with PAUL CHENEOUR'S IMPROMPTU: their first album SWEET KAFKA is currently attracting a great deal of attention from both media and public alike, with TIME OUT MAGAZINE commenting: "...jazzy east west fusion that sounds terrific!"

In November 1995 he launched his first solo album "THE TIME HAS COME" to an enraptured and enthusiastic audience at the Barbican Centre, London.
